Abstract: An essay is presented analyzing the poetic works and literary style of the Polish poet Julia Hartwig. Introductory comments are given noting her 80-year career in writing, her biographical profile and her personal philosophy of writing. Hartwig's signature feature of "reality mysticism," where she incorporates both themes of difficult circumstances with those of transcendence, is discussed in depth.
