Abstract
- The article presents a study which investigates the significance of carbon amendments in the restoration of the Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie in Will County, Illinois. It examines the impact of carbon amendments on the carbon-to-nitrogen (C/N) ratio in soil. It states that carbon amendments involves adding organic matter to the soil enabling microbes to accumulate nitrogen which reduces weed growth.
