Abstract

The article presents a study on the efficacy of ultraviolet-radiation damage-induced phasing without anomalous scattering (UV-RIPAS) and multiple-wavelength anomalous dispersion (MAD) phasing in selenomethionine labelled proteins. It examines the use of UV radiation in determining the radiation damage for the isomorphous differences. The study suggests that UV-RIPAS protocol is advantageous over MAD phasing in terms of the amount of required data.
