Abstract: This article explores some of the trends in educational research in Australia. It references the paper "Decentred Education," by Kathleen Ferguson and Terri Seddon, which addresses the image of the school. It also discusses the response by the educational research community to changes happening in the field. In addition, the article describes the sectoring of education and its effect on educational research.
