Abstract

The article offers information on the developments and practices of several common law countries which address the judicial conduct regulation in the promotion of public confidence. It says that judges play the role in the judicial decision making and exercise judgment and aims to gain public confidence for the formalization of judicial conduct regulation. It states that various countries practicing the common law systems including Australia, Canada, and New Zealand establish formal mechanisms to achieve public confidence by doing a good job. Moreover, it mentions that several objectives are to be considered to aim for public confidence and comply with the judicial conduct including impartiality, judicial independence, and integrity.
