Abstract

The article offers information on a policy initiated by the Kent Center for Human & Organizational Development in Warwick, Rhode Island, to allot four weeks of annual vacation time to its clinicians. According to David S. Lauterbach, president of the center, vacation are essential for the well-being of employees whose jobs calls for "vicarious traumatization." Also discussed are the ongoing training programs for staff members, which include e-learning on site to attend outside event.
