Disaster, Vulnerability, and Older Adults: Toward a Social Work Response.

This article presents the author's views on social work for older people related to disaster relief. The author discusses the vulnerability of older people following natural disasters such as the 2011 earthquake in Christchurch, New Zealand and the Sendai earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Information is provided on government emergency responses, as well as on social workers and disaster preparedness.
