Abstract
- The article focuses on the Advanced Capability Build 12 (ACB12) upgrade which will blend open architecture with a fully integrated ballistic-missile defense capability on Aegis ships in the U.S. It says that the U.S. Navy will install the ACB12 upgrade on 14 cruisers and the first 28 Arleigh Burke destroyers in the beginning of 2012. It also mentions that newer destroyers will feature integrated S- and X-band radars.
