Abstract
- 585: The estimated number, in the thousands, of people in China who this year will have more than 10 million renminbi -- or about $1.5 million -- in investable assets, according to a study by the consulting firm Bain & Company. That number is twice what it was in 2008. Most of those individuals are first-generation entrepreneurs, according to Bain. The fastest growth has been among those worth more than $15 million. Justin Yifu Lin, the World Bank's chief economist, last year named growing income disparity as one of China's biggest economic problems. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
