Oral Sex and Cancer.

The article presents an overview of a global increase which has been seen in the incidence of oral cancer and of research which has found that as many as 60% of the cases of cancer of the mouth and pharynx may be caused by papillomaviruses that are contracted through oral sex. A discussion of the symptoms of oral cancer, and of a Gardasil vaccination which vaccinates against the four most common strains of the human papillomavirus, is presented.
