Abstract
- An essay is presented on the efforts of educators to reform or eradicate the trend of contingency in academic employment in the U.S. It states that the move was aimed to promote the ideals of liberal education and democracy and uphold the future of institutional leadership in the country. It notes that the shift could lead to the integration of faculty members as departmental partners while allowing them to grow professionally.
