Abstract

The article focuses on different kinds of species that indicates the arrival of the spring season in Canada. The first butterfly to emerge during the spring season is the Nymphalis antiopa also known as the mourning cloak butterfly. Pulsatilla ludoviciana is the first wildflower to emerge after winter and is native to Western Canada and Ontario. The Pseudacris crucifer also known as spring peepers are nocturnal creatures that have a loud, high-pitched peep.
