The article presents a report from management consulting firm McKinsey Global Institute (MGI) which warns foreign investors and those with extra cash to carefully assess their decisions before committing their capital to the share market. The warning comes as a result of impending rise in interest rates which was caused by a "global savings glut" or the excess of supply over demand for capital to invest. It suggests investing extra cash in high-quality government and corporate bonds, mortgage-backed securities or putting them in bank deposits.
