Abstract
- The article discusses the need for farmers to support the Campaign for the Farmed Environment (CFE) in England. The CFE is aimed at ensuring that at least 70% of farmland is managed under agri-environment schemes and keep around 442,000 acres out of production. An overview of a letter given by farm minister Jim Paice is offered. National Farmers Union (NFU) president Peter Kendall encouraged farmers to take CFE seriously or face more farming legislation.
