Abstract: The article discusses weakness in the Japanese yen. Since the middle of March, 2011 the yen has declined around 12% against the U.S. dollar and fallen against the euro and Australian dollar as well. Some traders believe the yen's action is related to expectations that the Bank of Japan will adopt a less restrictive monetary policy to help that nation recover from a March, 2011 earthquake and tsunami.
