Abstract

In this letter, the capacitance of a conductor-backed coplanar waveguide (CPW) with an upper shielding is investigated.An electrostatic boundary-value problem of the conductor-backed CPW with an upper shielding is solved using the Fourier transform, mode matching technique, and superposition. The capacitance of the conductor-backed CPW is represented in a series and calculated in terms of the CPW geometry. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
