Presents the case of a child who fidgets and has difficulty waiting his turn, and how his mother believed the behaviors were caused by his high consumption of sugar. Theory that food ingestion can influence mood and behavior; Problems of using nutrients in their purified form; Tryptophan, serotonin, mood and aggression; S-adenosylmethionine, folic acid, and mood; Carbohydrate, serotonin, acetylcholine, behavior and memory; Fats and the brain; Conclusion.
