Abstract
- The article focuses on the pilot hydroelectric power plants in the U.S. and Europe. The osmotic power of Norwegian renewable plant of energy firm Statkraft relies on osmosis or the passage of water through a semi-permeable membrane. On the other hand, the thermal energy conversion (OTEC) plant of Lockheed Martin in the U.S. functions by running warm sea water through a heat exchanger.
