Abstract

The article discusses research conducted to investigate the effect the CYP3A inhibitor diltiazem had on the pharmacokinetics of the cholesteryl ester transfer protein inhibitor anacetrapib. Researchers evaluated healthy male and female subjects between the ages of 18 to 55. They found that exposure to anacetrapib was increased by diltiazem and that anacetrapib is a moderately sensitive CYP3A substrate.
