Abstract

The article presents an analysis of relationships between French and British naval forces, focusing on their efforts at cooperation. It is noted that the two countries have much in common, both in terms of history and in terms of economic power. An overview of the history of Franco-British naval interactions is included, dating back to the 18th century. A discussion of 20th and 21st century efforts to coordinate the two countries' strategic interests is presented. It is noted that France and Britain could benefit from a greater focus on potential synergies in terms of their naval strategies.
