Abstract

The article focuses on a study done on the regulation of mycotoxin biosynthesis by chemicals. It states that mycotoxins, which are highly toxic pollutants of agricultural raw materials and foodstuff, are classified with polyketides. It describes how chemicals such as fungicide tricyclazole, 1-aminoethyl phosphinic acid and phosphinic analogues of alanine, aspartate and leucine can suppress polyketide biosynthesis.
