Districts, Unions Seek To Improve Relations.

Information about the Advancing Student Achievement Through Labor-Management Collaboration Conference in Denver, Colorado in 2011 is presented. The article addresses pledges by conference participants to continue improvement in relations between school districts and teacher's unions. The role of the U.S. Department of Education and the team of Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service Director George H. Cohen in improving relations is also explored.
