Abstract

The article discusses the global practice of innovation mercantilism. It explains that rampant and widespread currency manipulation is the most pervasive and damaging mercantilist practices but many countries still use the practice because of the belief that it is self-sufficient to the economy. It also cites the flaws of mercantilist practices and the need for good innovation for economic and trade policy that resist in the systematic pursuit of mercantilist policies that violate free trade.
