- The article presents a critique of the final encomium from the philosophical text "The Symposium" by Plato, which focuses on the developmental stages of the ideal man in Greece. Implications of symbolisms in "The Symposium"; Use of misogynistic falsity to explain masculine insecurity; Association of simplicity to ethical development of Athenian men; use of women in the text.
