Abstract: The article discusses the psychological aspects of disillusionment. It explores the effects of disillusionment on the human heart, particularly on desires and feelings. It argues that disillusionment shows the person's depravity of his or her illusions and causes hopelessness which reflects the loss of imaginative capacity to perceive the meaning of the past, the events of the present and the hope of the future.
