Abstract

The article investigates how end-stage renal disease sufferers in the U.S. can be made more aware of the promising potential that peritoneal dialysis (PD) therapy holds for them, despite the low rates of preference that it holds compared to hemodialysis (HD). It offers general information about the study, the research method and study population that was selected, and the statistical method that was employed to analyze the results. Results showed that PD was often not selected by ESRD patients, and that trend should be reversed in PD's favor.
