Abstract

This article discusses a study which compared molecular markers in the endangered Black-capped Vireo (Vireo atricapilla) and their interpretation in conservation. It provides a review of previous microsatellite analysis of the Black-capped Vireo which revealed a low but statistically significant level of population differentiation with isolation by distance (IBD). Methods and results of the study are described.
