Abstract
- The article discusses the problems faced by "The Daily Beast," an online news reporting and commentary site. While it is staffed by well-known writers including Peter Boyer of "The New Yorker" and Wayne Barrett of "The Village Voice," the site is allegedly not drawing much audience. Its other problem is its unprofitability. According to the article, the site has separated from the online advertising system and sells only premium custom placements.
