Abstract

The article offers information on guiding principles used in the U.S. Hamilton Project, which aims to advance the nation's promise of opportunity, prosperity, and growth. Principles such as economic growth is stronger and more sustainable when it is broad based; economic security and economic growth are mutually reinforcing; and effective government enhances economic growth are elaborated. The significance of effective governance to the long-term growth of any economy is also highlighted.
