Latino History: An Interchange on Present Realities and Future Prospects.

The article presents an interchange that explores teaching, researching and the conceptualization of Latino history within United States history. Interchange members include Adrian Burgos Jr., Donna Gabaccia, María Christina García, Matthew Garcia, Kelly Lytle Hernández, Jesse Hoffnung-Garskof, María E. Montoya, George J. Sánchez, Virginia Sánchez Korrol and Paul Spickard. Topics discussed include the presidential address given by Vicki Ruiz at the 2006 Organization of American Historians, popular narratives of U.S. history and minorities in the history profession.
