Abstract

The article presents information on a study which determined the survival and long-term morbidities of children with nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). Information on the incidence of NPC in the U.S. and related studies is presented. Data reviewed were from children with NPC who treated at Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital between 1961 and 2004. Prognostic factors for overall survival and event-free survival are age at diagnosis, lymph node classification and race, among others.
