Abstract
- The article provides information on the Bloodhound Supersonic Car (SSC) project. Introduced by Richard Noble, the project aims to construct a vehicle which is capable of running 1,000 miles per hour (mph) with a 31 percent increase on the current land speed record using a jet engine and rocket for propulsion. The produced vehicle will be tested further as it undergoes speed trials on the Hakskeen Pan in north-eastern South Africa in 2012.
