Abstract
- The article discusses a randomized trial investigating the effect of inhaled hypertonic saline on the hospital admission rate in children with viral bronchiolitis. The objective of the study included determining whether 3% hypertonic saline (HS) reduced admission to hospital in ambulatory children with moderately severe viral bronchiolitis, comparing changes in respiratory scores before and after treatment, and assessing the need for unscheduled medical intervention within seven days.
