Abstract
- The article focuses on the murder of Chancellor George Wythe, founding father of the U.S., in 1806. It states that Wythe together, with members of his household, was poisoned by his own nephew George Wythe Sweeney. It says that Sweeney had a motive to kill Wythe because doing so will give him the assurance that he will receive his share of wealth from his uncle. It also adds that he was acquitted from the charge of murder but convicted on a case of forgery.
