Novel Protein-Protein Interactions Inferred from Literature Context.

The article presents a retrospective analysis, which involves the development of method to predict protein-protein interactions (PPIs). It is stated that this method outperforms previously created PPI prediction algorithms which depend on the conjunction of two protein names in Medline abstracts. Topics discussed in this context include--improved PPI detection through concept profiles, proteins linked via one intermediate protein, online web tool nermal, and protein production and preparation of lysates.
