Abstract
- The article presents case studies of patients with atopic dermatitis (AD) who developed labial melanotic macules after topical application of tacrolimus. The clinical case of a 16-year-old Caucasian boy with long-standing AD with numerous eczematous lesions and a 25-year-old Caucasian woman manifesting persistent cheilitis are tackled. Histology revealed an augmented melanin production by basal melanocytes. The article discusses labial melanotic macule induced by tacrolimus application.
