Abstract

Mangroves and salt marshes are contributed in the saline land improvement. Mangroves are manmade environment and also enhance nutrient cycling of estuarine ecosystem. After decomposition, mangrove litters have higher nutrient content and improve the nutrient status of estuarine soil and also estuarine water. Such type of mangroves leaves collected from the mangrove forest areas and also making the compost. Such type of compost is used for increasing the yield parameters of legume crop Vigna mungo .Its widely cultivated in South India. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
