Abstract

The need for investigation of temperature-induced deformations of frozen soils is demonstrated. Basic concepts associated with temperature-induced stresses and strains are cited. The influence of the 'aftereffect' of temperature-induced deformations, which are closely associated with the rheology of frozen soils developed by S. S.
