Abstract
- The article offers a guide for athletic trainers (ATs) to evaluating and managing chronic shoulder conditions in athletes. It emphasizes the need for ATs to acquire a thorough history of the condition, including the mechanism of injury, specific location of symptoms and quantification of pain level. It explains how posture contributes to the athlete's susceptibility to shoulder injury. It suggests joint mobilization techniques when capsular restrictions are evident in order to restore normal motion.
