The Other Gulf War.

The article discusses the role of aircraft in responding to and containing the British Petroleum Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. The author examines the role of U.S. Coast Guard and civilian aircraft in recording and reporting the movements of the leaking crude oil. The organization and scheduling of flight patterns during the cleanup effort is also addressed.
