Abstract
- The article focuses on the programs offered by the American Association of School Librarians (AASL) and the American Library Association (ALA) designed to promote and defend intellectual freedom in the U.S. As an AASL member, one can have access to the support and resources of the ALA Office for Intellectual Freedom (OIF). It ranges from programs at conferences to legal assistance to toolkits. Both organizations also offer the AASL Intellectual Freedom Award.
