Abstract: The article reports on an August 2010 conference in Berlin, Germany, titled "Foreign Policy of the German Nations in the Empire. History, Actors and Archival Transmission (1871-1918)." The meeting addressed the archival records of the German states which dealt with foreign policy during the German Empire prior to the end of World War I.
