Abstract

Numerical simulation is carried out on pressure loss of an inner-cone flowmeter by fluid software. The experimental medium of numerical simulation is gasoline. An inner-cone flowmeter and orifice plate flowmeter are frequently used in product pipeline. In the condition of the same flow area, the two experimental results of pressure loss are compared. As a result, the pressure loss of the inner-cone flowmeter is only 22% of the orifice plate flowmeter. The application of inner-cone flowmeter, in measuring mixing flowrate in the product pipeline, can reduce energy consumption. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
