Marking essays on screen and on paper.

The article discusses a study which examines the effects of shifting from marking General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) English Literature examination essays on paper to marking on-screen in Great Britain. Researchers have analyzed the relationship between the testing modes and the marker reliability and how examiners assess such essays. The results indicate that there is no mode-related differences between the two assessments.
