Abstract

The article offers information on a study which determined the relationship between parity and breastfeeding duration with the frequency of undifferentiated (triple-negative breast cancer) phenotype. The absence of estrogen receptor (ER), progesterone receptor (PR) and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) reportedly characterize triple-negative breast cancer. Study population were 2473 women treated for invasive breast cancer between 2001 and 2006. A discussion on the research findings is detailed.
