Abstract

The author opines regarding electronic book, or e-book, readers and the prospects that paper books will disappear in the future. The author gives 3 reasons why he believes that such an eventuality is unlikely. They include human fallibility in estimating the time it takes to assimilate future technologies, the likelihood that such technologies will become add-ons rather than replacements, and the crudeness of e-book technology itself.
