The authors mention that skin erythema and ulceration are the two examples of the deterministic effects of ionising radiation which can be resulted in the manifestation of a cancer after a prolonged delay. They add that the dosage of radiation to an individual patient varied depending on the characteristics of patients distance from x-ray source, and tissues irradiated.
