Abstract
- The article discusses a study on the collective influence of poor health behaviors as detailed by E. Kvaavik et al on the risk of total and cause-specific mortality in a cohort of older Australian adults. It cites the Blue Mountains Eye Study as a population-based cohort study on sensory loss and other health outcomes. It suggests that even modest divergences in lifestyle and diet can make a significant different to health in both the individual and population level.
