Abstract
- The article presents a study that discusses the use of sulfur K-edge X-ray absorption near-edge structure (XANES) spectroscopy to quantitatively determine the kinds of sulfur species in natural samples using internally calibrated reference spectra of model compounds. It mentions that the results show the importance of using a calibration system when performing quantitative XANES analysis. It affirms that the preparation of the samples should consider the presence of self-absorbing particles.
