Abstract
- The author relates his experience of doing a thesis regarding how New York state compensates victims of wrongful conviction. It states that due to cost cutting measures, the practice of investigative journalism in various papers is declining, but that such leaves many opportunities for those in colleges. Using various programs such as Wiki and Access, public records and personal interviews, the author and his team found that the compensation system is greatly flawed, and suggests further study into the matter.
